This community engagement program was initiated in response to the limited professional competence of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) teachers, particularly in pedagogical skills, Qur’anic teaching methods, and sustained reflective practice. The program aimed to enhance the professional competence of teachers at MDT Al-Islamiyah in MandalawangiDua Village, Nagreg District, Bandung Regency through an integrative, community-based mentoring model. A participatory approach was employed, combining structured workshops and continuous mentoring that included active Qur’anic teaching methods training, motivation training, lesson study through teacher forums, classroom SWOT analysis, and simplified Classroom Action Research (CAR) assistance. Data were collected through observation, documentation, collaborative reflection, and evaluation of lesson plans before and after the intervention. The findings indicate improvements in teaching method variation, instructional preparation, professional motivation, and the development of a reflective and collaborative culture among teachers. The program also led to the adoption of innovations such as interactive tilawah methods, regular teacher discussion forums, and independent implementation of simplified CAR. The implications suggest that an integrative, contextual, and sustainable mentoring approach is more effective than one-off training programs in strengthening professional competence among MDT teachers. Beyond improving individual skills, the program fostered a professional culture grounded in Islamic educational values and community empowerment. In conclusion, community-based mentoring represents a relevant and potentially replicable strategy for improving instructional quality in similar non-formal Islamic educational institutions.
