Author Guidelines

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.

  • Submissions should be written in English, Arabic, or Indonesian using clear academic language.

  • The length of the manuscript should be 6,000–10,000 words, including references, tables, and appendices.

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx) through the journal’s online submission system.


2. Formatting

  • Paper size: A4, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt, and 1.5 line spacing.

  • Use consistent Transliteration for Arabic terms based on the Library of Congress system or International Journal of Middle East Studies (IJMES) style.

  • Arabic script should use Traditional Arabic font, size 14 pt.

  • Citations and references must follow the APA 7th edition style.


3. Structure of the Manuscript

  1. Title – Concise and informative (maximum 15 words).

  2. Author Information – Full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and email address of corresponding author.

  3. Abstract – Written in English (and Arabic/Indonesian if applicable), 150–250 words, including research purpose, method, key findings, and implications.

  4. Keywords – 3–5 relevant keywords.

  5. Introduction – Background, research gap, objectives, and significance of the study.

  6. Literature Review/Theoretical Framework – Overview of relevant theories and prior studies.

  7. Methodology – Description of research design, data sources, and analytical methods.

  8. Results and Discussion – Presentation and interpretation of findings supported by evidence.

  9. Conclusion – Summary of findings, contributions, limitations, and suggestions for future research.

  10. References – Complete and accurate list of cited works in APA 7th style.


4. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must ensure the authenticity of their work and acknowledge all sources appropriately.

  • Any potential conflict of interest should be disclosed at the time of submission.

  • The editorial team may use plagiarism detection software to verify originality. Manuscripts with similarity scores above 20% may be rejected.


5. Review and Publication

  • All manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer review.

  • Authors are expected to respond to reviewers’ comments within the designated time frame.

  • The editorial board reserves the right to edit manuscripts for clarity, style, and conformity to journal standards without altering the substance of the work.


6. Copyright and Open Access

  • Upon acceptance, authors retain copyright but grant al-mujtamaiyyah the right to publish, distribute, and archive the work.

  • The journal operates under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.
