This research delves into a comparative analysis of hadith and sirah within the framework of Islamic historical studies. Hadith, encompassing the Prophet Muhammad's sayings, actions, and tacit approvals, is systematically compiled in hadith collections. Conversely, sirah offers a more narrative and historical reconstruction of the Prophet's life. While both are indispensable to Islamic historical inquiry, their methodologies, authoritative status, and focal points diverge significantly. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, this paper elucidates how hadith serves as a normative framework and a primary source for Islamic jurisprudence, whereas sirah provides a broader historical context. The findings underscore the complementary nature of these two sources, demonstrating that they collectively contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the Prophet's life and the tenets of Islam.
