The Journal of Ulumul Qur’an and Tafsir Studies (JUQUTS) implements a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles. Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process to maintain objectivity and fairness.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to evaluate their relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, adherence to academic writing standards, and compliance with ethical publication guidelines. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are then sent to at least two qualified reviewers with expertise in Qur’anic studies, tafsir, and related disciplines.
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on its scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, accuracy of interpretation, coherence of argumentation, and originality of findings. The review outcome may result in one of the following decisions:

Accept without revision;

Accept with minor revisions;

Revise and resubmit (major revisions required);

Reject.
Authors are notified of the editorial decision along with detailed reviewer comments to guide necessary revisions. The revised manuscript is re-evaluated before final acceptance. The editorial board reserves the right to make final decisions regarding publication based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall academic merit of the work.
