Author Guidelines

Submission Preparation Checklist

PIAUD-Ku is a peer-reviewed journal published by faculty of Tarbiyah, Institute of Islamic Studies PERSIS. This journal is issued every May and October. The articles published in PIAUD-Ku can be in English and Indonesian. The scope of the topics include: 1) Child Development, 2) Islamic parenting, 3) Etnoparenting, 4) Early Childhood Education Curriculum, 5) Assessment and 6) Digital technology in early childhood education, and 7) Health and Nutrition. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

1. The submission falls within the focus and scope of the Islamic Journal of Education.

2. The submission has not been previously published in any other media (journals, proceedings, etc.).

3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format (.doc, .docx).

4. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines: 1.15 spacing; Times New Roman font; font sizes 11 and 16; and correct use of bold and italics. Tables and figures meet the criteria specified in the article writing guidelines.

6. A plagiarism check has been conducted using software, with a maximum similarity index of 20%.

7. The use of Mendeley or Zotero for citation and reference management is mandatory.

Submission Guidelines for Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education (JOIECE): PIAUD-Ku

1. Preparation

• Visit the Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education (JOIECE): PIAUD-Ku OJS website at the following address: Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education (JOIECE): PIAUD-Ku

• Click the Article Template menu on the sidebar to download the article template.

• Use the template file to draft your manuscript.

• To adapt your existing document to the template, copy your text and select Paste Special > Unformatted Text into the template file. This ensures your document conforms to the typing rules of the Islamic Journal of Education.

• Authors are advised to independently conduct a Plagiarism Check on articles that meet the layout and style guide to identify potential plagiarism. The editors will also perform a re-check for plagiarism.

• If the similarity index is within the acceptable limit (maximum 20%), the article is ready for submission to the Islamic Journal of Education OJS. First, go to the website and register for an account.

2. Registration

• Visit the Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education (JOIECE): PIAUD-Ku OJS website.

• Select the Register menu and fill in the Profile data (identity and affiliation) and Login details (email, username, and desired password).

• Upon successful registration, click New Submission.

3. Submission

• Complete the 5 steps of the submission process: Start, Upload Submission, Enter Metadata, Confirmation, and Next Steps.

• In the Start section, select "Articles" in the Section option, check all 5 submission requirements (if met), and click Save and Continue.

• Upload the article file in the Upload Submission section and add the Statement Letter/Cover Letter file.

• In the Enter Metadata section, fill in the abstract in the Abstract column, enter the author details in the List of Contributors, and click Save and Continue.

• Next, click the Finish Submission button in the Confirmation section.

• The final phase is Submission Complete.

4. Communication via Website with Editors

• Authors will be updated via OJS Messages regarding the progress of their article up to the publication stage.
