In Islam, what is consumed are goods or services that are halal, useful, good in a frugal and not excessive way (in moderation) to maximize maslahah, that is, there is goodness that one feels with other parties. Based on the verses of the Qur'an and Hadith above, it can be concluded that consumption in Islam is the fulfillment of both physical and spiritual needs to maximize the function of humanity as a servant of Allah swt. in order to achieve falah. The main instrument used to achieve falah is maslahah. To what extent the concept of mashlahah is known by Muslims, this is what this paper wants to study. The method used is Library Research.
In this paper, the concept of mashlahah in economic theory is discussed, starting from the difference between wants and needs, then the determination of the measur e of mashlahah is explained quite clearly, where the concept of mashlahah is delivered through the concept of blessings and rewards.
